SUZANNE GOODMAN

Suzanne Goodman has been dancing since the young age of three. Growing up in Greenville, SC, Suzanne attended the Fine Arts Center during high school. After high school, she attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning a BA in dance. During college, Suzanne was President of UNCC Dance Ensemble and Fine Arts Director for the University Program Board. Suzanne has served as Ballet Director for several studios and taught dance in the Spartanburg public schools. In addition to her college training, Suzanne has studied in New York City and has been certified by Dance Masters of America in the areas of; ballet, tap, jazz, modern and acrobatics.

Suzanne was most recently the owner and Artistic Director of Foothills Dance Arts in Easley. Her choreography and dancers have been seen throughout the Southeast. Suzanne has choreographed for local theatres and high schools. She also serves as the Entertainment Director for both Fall for the Arts and Spring Fling festivals in Easley, SC.

Suzanne’s students have gone on to further their dance studies at prestigious places such as SC Governor’s School of the Arts, Columbia College, Winthrop University, College of Charleston and Alvin Ailey BFA Program at Fordham University. Her students have performed with Caroline Calouche Aerial Company, York County Ballet, Piccolo Spoleto, The Rockettes, and in numerous regional theatre companies. Many of her former students can be found teaching dance across the US.

Suzanne is married to Tony Goodman and they have three children: Ethan (Dance Educator with The Little Gym), Maddie (Dance teacher at Dance Works in Charleston) and Lillie – a rising 8th grader.

Suzanne’s main goal as a dance teacher is “To Inspire a love and appreciation for the art of dance” in the students she is fortunate to teach.
