We are happy to announce our live Fall registration for our 2023-2024 season. Thank you for choosing DAG for your Art of Dance education.

TWINKLE DANCE

Twinkle Star Dance is an age-specific 45-minute class containing ballet and creative movement. The goal of the class is to introduce young dancers to the joy of dance in an inspiring and creative environment while learning how to follow directions. Dancers also learn foundational steps and ballet terminology. The use of props such as “dancing bears,” hula hoops, scarves and maracas, enables the young dancers to use their imagination, creativity and, most of all, have fun! Two levels offered. Includes End of Year Performance with Costume.

MINIS: AGES 3-4

JUNIORS: AGES 4-5

BALLET 1 AND 2

Ballet 1 and 2 are the first classes of traditional fundamentals of ballet. Good habits are built in this division. Dancers in these levels will learn basic ballet positions of the arms and feet through a variety of movements in warm-up, center, and barre activities. Ballet etiquette is expected of all dancers, and instructors will utilize classical ballet terminology in all classes.

Dress code: Light Blue for Ballet 1 and Lavender for Ballet 2. Circle Skirts are required to be worn for exercises with hands on the ends. All attire is ordered through our DanceArts DanceWear store in our studio.

Dancers in Ballet 1 or 2 are also offered the option of enrolling in jazz and/or tap classes each week. These classes are not required, but dancers are required to be enrolled in ballet in order to enroll in jazz or tap.

Ballet 1 is for dancers who are 6 years old by September 1st and enrolled in first grade, and Ballet 2 is for dancers who are 7 years old by September 1st and enrolled in the second grade.  Dancers are not required to have completed Twinkle Dance or  previous dance training to enroll in Ballet 1 or 2.

1 ballet class per week – 1 hour class

1 jazz and/or tap class per week – 30 minute class for each

BALLET 1 & 2

Ballet 1/2: ages 6 (1st grader) & ages 7 (2nd grader)

Ballet 2: ages 7 (2nd grader)

BALLET 3

Ages 8-9 (Third grade)

Ballet 3 builds from Ballet 1 & 2 curriculum, and a placement class is necessary to enroll. In this level, there is a minumium of two 60-minute Ballet classes. Development of ballet technique, core strength and correct posture is set.  Dancers will progress by adding two different training techniques to enhance ballet, such as Foot and Ankle conditioning and Progressing Ballet Technique. Etiquette is expected of all dancers, and instructors will utilize classical ballet terminology in all classes.

Dancers in Ballet 3 are also offered the option of enrolling in hip hop, jazz/lyrical, and/or tap classes each week.   These classes are not required, but dancers are required to be enrolled in ballet in order to enroll in the enrichment classes (with the exception Hip-Hop)

Ballet 3-  Two ballet classes per week 

Additional classes in hip hop, jazz/lyrical, and/or tap class per week 

Dress code: Aquarmarine Blue leotard and complimenting color Circle Skirts are required to be worn for exercises with hands on the ends. All attire is ordered through our DanceArts DanceWear store in our studio.

BALLET 4B

Ages 9-10 (Fourth Grade)

Ballet 4B builds from Ballet 3 curriculum, and a placement class is necessary to enroll. In this level, there is a minumium of two 75-minute Ballet classes. Development of ballet technique, core strength and correct posture is set.  Dancers will progress by adding two different training techniques to enhance ballet, such as Foot and Ankle conditioning and Progressing Ballet Technique. Etiquette is expected of all dancers, and instructors will utilize classical ballet terminology in all classes.

Dancers in Ballet 4B are also offered the option of enrolling in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and/or tap classes each week.   These classes are not required, but dancers are required to be enrolled in ballet in order to enroll in the enrichment classes (with the exception Hip-Hop)

Ballet 4B-  Two ballet classes per week 

Additional classes in hip hop, jazz/lyrical, and/or tap class per week 

Dress code: Lipstick (Dark Pink) leotard and complimenting color Circle Skirts are required to be worn for exercises with hands on the ends. All attire is ordered through our DanceArts DanceWear store in our studio.

BALLET 4A

Ages 10-11 (Fifth Grade)

Ballet 4A builds from Ballet 4B curriculum, and a placement class is necessary to enroll. In this level, there is a minumium of two 75-minute Ballet classes. Development of ballet technique, core strength and Pointe Strength Training. Dancers will progress by adding two different training techniques to enhance ballet, such as Foot and Ankle conditioning and Progressing Ballet Technique. Etiquette is expected of all dancers, and instructors will utilize classical ballet terminology in all classes.

Dancers in Ballet 4A are also offered the option of enrolling in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and/or tap classes each week.   These classes are not required, but dancers are required to be enrolled in ballet in order to enroll in the enrichment classes (with the exception Hip-Hop)

Ballet 4A-  Two ballet classes per week 

Additional classes in hip hop, jazz/lyrical, and/or tap class per week 

Dress code: Royal Blue  leotard and complimenting color mesh skirt are required. Ballet shoes shoukd have ribbons sewn on them. All attire is ordered through our DanceArts DanceWear store in our studio.

YOUTH DIVISION

Ages 8-12

Our Youth Dance division focuses on classes that are fun and developemental. Students who would like to train in either Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. Choose one, two or even three classes a week. No dance background needed.

Dress code: BALLET:  Females: Ballet Leotard, convertible pink tights, Ballet skirt (optional) Male: Solid shirt, biker shorts.Solid Color Tank Leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes (ballet skirts are allowed) Hair pulled up off of neck and face. Footwear: Ballet Shoes   Hip Hop: Loose fitting pants (sweatpants) and loose top. Hip-hop Flair. Shoes should be Black All-star “like” high tops. Jazz/Tap: Attire: Female: Form Fitting Top and leggings, Male: Solid t-shirt, biker shorts or gym shorts. Hair: Female: Pulled of face and neck, Male: Off face. Footwear: Tap shoes, Jazz shoes.
