Experience our 2nd Annual Ballet & Contemporary Solo and Ensemble Experience — featuring masterclasses, individualized artistic guidance, and extended community participation.
Now in its second year, this growing event has expanded its reach to include local schools, creating greater access and connection within our dance community. Dancers will refine their technique, deepen their artistry, and receive meaningful insight in a supportive and professional environment.
Ready to join? Dancers ages 10–16 with ballet training are welcome to participate. Participants must be enrolled in a minimum of two ballet classes per week, each at least one hour and 15 minutes in length.
Join us for a day devoted to excellence, growth, and collaboration — where young artists are seen, challenged, and inspired.

MASTERCLASSES:
For DAYCo Performance Track & All Competing Dancers
DAG is thrilled to host a Contemporary and Classical Ballet Masterclass for all DAYCo dancers!
-
Performance Track students: This is a wonderful opportunity to participate for $30. We highly encourage our Performance Track dancers to join and take advantage of this enriching experience. Please email office@danceartsgreenville.com to reserve your spot. Families will be charged $30 to the card on file unless otherwise specified.
-
Competition Track dancers: This class is an important part of your program, and the fee is already included in your registration.
Please note: Only competitive and DAYCo dancers may attend masterclasses. Space for non-competitive dancers outside of DAYCo is limited, and once the class fills, registration will close.
Don’t miss this chance to refine technique, deepen artistry, and connect with fellow dancers in a supportive, inspiring environment!
ARRIVAL TIME:
All Bravado competitors will need to arrive to the DAG studios by 9:15am, HAIR and MAKEUP READY (think recital makeup but NO fake eyelashes.) All costumes will be at the studio. If any of the YAGP dancers still have their costumes at home, please make sure to bring them in by Wednesday. We will escort them to their designated dressing room and they will be able to get their spots ready and warm up for the masterclass. DAYCO students for masterclass only, please arrive by 9:40am. ALL dancers should wear their black DAYCO leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and skirt if desired to the masterclass. All hair should be pulled back in a bun and secured tightly.
COSTUMES:
All costumes and headpieces will be held at the DAG studio. Please make sure your dancer has at least 2 pair of tights, ballet/pointe shoes are sewn nicely and don’t have holes, nude camisole leotard for those who need one, pink trunks for all dancers minus Ella Heegard, stud rhinestone earrings and any other undergarments or accessories that may be needed for their specific solo. Just like recital and CBT performances, make sure your dancer has a bag with their make up and hair supplies. Just to name a few: blush, mascara, eye shadow neutrals/pinks, lipstick, eye liner, foundation, bobby pins, brush/comb, hair net, hair spray etc…
OPEN STAGE:
On the schedule you will see an Open Stage timeframe. This time is used for the dancers of that specific category to utilize the stage and practice. This is also the time that all audience members are needed to be in their seats. When the Open Stage is finished, all dancers will exit the stage and wait backstage for their time to perform. Once that category is complete, audience members will be allowed to move about. This will help ensure both the dancers and judges focus!
SCORING:
In each category, there will be a first, second and third place award (Example: Elite Classical, Trainee Classical, Festival B Classical, Festival A Classical and Contemporary Festival A&B.) There will also be the Bravado Award for the overall dancer in the Festival A & B categories and the Promise Award for the Elites and Trainees. Scores will given on a scale of 1-10 by each judge for Technique and Artistry and then combined for their overall score.
AWARDS CEREMONY:
We will be recognizing all Bravado competitors at the end of the competition! We kindly ask that they bring an outfit to change into for the awards! 🙂 Nothing fancy but yes, nice. This is always a fun time for the girls to get ready together! We are so excited and beyond proud to show off our beautiful dancers and to have the opportunity to provide this outlet for them!
T-SHIRTS:
We will be selling our Bravado t-shirts for $20. Simply click on the Google Form link in the attached file of the schedule and place your order by 10:00pm Monday, February 23rd!!! These are going to be such a wonderful keepsake for your dancer and a chance to show off all their hard work!!
Holy moly, that’s all I have for you, lol!! I am sure there will be questions and I am here to answer them all for you! Again, on behalf of the entire DAYCO staff, we are so excited and humbled to be putting on this amazing event for you and your dancer!
Kindly,
Erica Sturman
DAYCO Manager
